ROYAL RUN Boozt is proud to be the official logistics partner for hashtag#RoyalRun in Denmark. Each year, we also have many employees participating in this notable event. The 2024 edition was fortunate to have excellent weather, and we appreciated seeing the high turnout of participants and the camaraderie among coworkers through physical activity. Congratulations to Danmarks Idrætsforbund (DIF), DGI and Dansk Atletik for an amazing event.
"Innovation, Curiosity and Care. That's how I would describe last week Platform Conference at Boozt. For those who don't know, Platform Conference is the annual event we hold in our company, where speakers, both internal and external, give presentations about the topics they are interested in. Normally most presentations would be technical and would concentrate on the technologies we work with at Boozt. This year, though, there was a pleasant surprise, because we not only talked about tech, but also one of the tracks was about mental health. In the modern age it is important more than ever to talk about mental health. Yet so many choose to disregard that part of their life. Some might feel ashamed to talk about it, while others simply don't have the time to take care of their health properly. I wanted to share some information about how burnout can affect us and how thinking errors can lead to it. Platform Conference was the perfect stage to talk about that and I was happy to see that there were many other topics discussing similar problems. So I was in the right crowd. What is more, the rooms were filled by people wanting to listen. I am proud that my colleagues at Boozt take mental health seriously and want to know more about it. That was proven not just by large number of listeners, but also by great questions asked after. "21K🏃! Wow, I did it again!🤩 Three years in a row! This year was particularly challenging as the temperatures beating all record, it was +25🔥🫠 degrees. I completed the run in 2:31🙈, but I believe that a slower time is better than risking a heart attack💔. For me, it’s not about the time; it’s about the love ❤️for the Gothenburg half marathon race. The beautiful route, the inspiring support along the way, and, of course, the teamwork make it special⭐️. What could be better than running alongside your colleagues? "WHAT A RIDE! The 2024 hashtag#Boozt Platform Conference is over. And below you can find the aftermovie. Over the course of two days we had a fantastic mix of external and internal speakers that inspired the whole organisation. One of the highlights on the second day was Serge Belongie from the Pioneer Centre for AI that gave an insightful keynote about machine learning. In total we had 21 talks divided in three tracks on day 2 of the conference where more than 200 people took part. A huge thanks to everyone from Boozt that helped put this event together; this year the conference took place simultaneously in Aarhus (Denmark), Hyllie (Sweden), Poznan (Poland) and Vilnius (Lithuania) with speakers in all locations. Conducting periodic meetings for organizers from 5 locations, checking what stage tasks are at, keeping an eye on deadlines, preparing clear communication and taking care of every detail in the preparation phase as well as during the conference itself. I could probably create a long list of things you took care of while working on organizing another internal conference in Boozt. But most important is that both presenters and participants felt safe and taken care of, thanks to your and the entire team's efforts. "Sometimes you need to lose something in order to appreciate its worth. Over the years I have missed platform conference in multiple occasions, I have been sick and missed a trip to Sweden, got covid the year I was involved the most and two years ago I left half way through as my wife went into labour. This year I was able to participate fully and I truly appreciated. It was amazing!! I can only thanks my wonderful colleagues to prepare such a nice conference!! Thanks to Boozt Platform for having a conference overall!! Thanks to Łukasz Pawłowski for such an effort to align all the offices and speakers!! "So, 13th Platform conference is over. I personally participated in it 6 times - and every time it’s different… Every time you can get something new, meet new people and discover a new possibilities. And each conference I see the growth of our company’s development department both in size and in quality. This year I had an honour to give a talk about the challenges that out team solves related to migration to a new system with a separate database while keeping business processes still running: “Divide and Rule: A saga about Reaction’s database separation”. And also it was really amazing to see my team mates giving a talks on different aspects of work process and not only about tech. Nice presentation from Anton Gorbylev on the subject of “Emotional intelligence” has given me some useful insights about the relationship inside the team.
