People, product, planet. EDB received a 2026 Community Impact Award from Culture of Good, Inc. for impact that spans all three. 🤝 Through EDBKind, our employees take paid time off to volunteer for causes they choose. 🛠️ That same spirit carries into how we build: 55,000+ lines of code contributed to PostgreSQL 18, a 250% increase in community investment since 2024, and the first open-access guide to building agentic AI on Postgres, free to everyone. 🌱 It extends to the planet, too: our GHG reduction targets are now SBTi-approved, and independent analysis found that customers using EDB Postgres AI can reduce application emissions by more than 50%. We're incredibly proud of the employees, engineers, and community members whose work make these recognitions happen.
The Data Innovation Summit in Stockholm is one of the biggest data and AI gatherings in the Nordics. This year, AI readiness, open platforms, and core modernization dominated the conversation. Jesper Eriksen, Lead Domain Architect at Bankdata, and Jakob Brandel, Director, Head of Sales Engineering at EDB, delivered a standout track session, "Banking without Boundaries.” Their session showed how financial institutions can move away from the proprietary systems that have constrained them and what open infrastructure makes possible at scale.
Meet Jek Han, our Director of Customer Success based in Singapore, who leads our APJ teams through a high-energy evolution. Jek explains how his day "pivots around people," whether it’s helping customers hit their next milestone or fostering a "family at work" culture across a global team. He also discusses why EDB’s culture of radical autonomy is a game-changer, allowing him to balance high-stakes customer situations with his personal life as an active cyclist. We successfully launched our first Global WarehousePG Workshop in Utrecht 🌎 The session focused on a critical industry shift: Building a sovereign analytics platform at scale. We demonstrated how EDB Postgres AI enables organizations to consolidate transactional, analytical, and AI workloads into a single, unified environment. The demand for high-performance, sovereign analytics has never been higher. Thank you to the data leaders and architects who joined us for these deep dives.
EDB has been named one of the 15 Hottest AI Data & Analytics Companies in the CRN 2026 AI 100 list. 🏆 Every autonomous decision an AI agent makes is only as trustworthy as the data it's drawing from. And as agentic AI scales across the enterprise, two things matter more than ever: access to trusted data and control over it. That's the foundation of EDB Postgres AI. We help organizations build and run AI-driven applications on a platform that doesn't ask you to sacrifice data sovereignty for capability. Your data stays yours—governed, secure, and ready to power whatever comes next. Thank you to CRN for the recognition and to our customers and partners who are building the future of enterprise AI with us.
Great to see the CloudNativePG team recognized as part of the Security Slam at KubeCon EU. Security and software provenance are becoming core requirements for Postgres on Kubernetes, especially as teams put more critical data and AI workloads into production. Last week, we shared what CloudNativePG 1.29 adds on that front, including modular extensions and built-in supply chain security, along with a preview of Kubernetes-native data protection in EDB Postgres AI for CNPG.
Only 13% of enterprises have moved agentic AI projects into production. The bottleneck isn’t ambition; it’s infrastructure. Our Q1 2026 release is built for that reality, with new advances across EDB Postgres AI for warehouse analytics, vector search, agent development, model serving, and platform operations. That includes up to 58% lower TCO for WarehousePG in a new independent benchmark study, up to 91x faster analytical queries on live operational data with NVIDIA RAPIDS for Apache Spark, and new capabilities to help teams build and manage AI-ready data environments with more control. A decade at EDB and a new A Day in the Life spotlight. We’re featuring Shruti Nair, Global Collections Manager. In her interview with EDB's Debasmita Ray, Shruti gives a candid look at what the work takes: leading a global team, staying close to the numbers, and improving the systems that keep everything moving. In a project to improve efficiency, Shruti worked on automating the data flow between EDB's ERP and CRM systems. This integration freed up several hours daily for her team to focus on higher-value work. Congratulations, Shruti, and thank you for everything you’ve built here over the last ten years.
We're at NVIDIA GTC with a vision for the future of enterprise AI platforms: open, sovereign, and built to connect transactional data, analytics, and agentic systems without lock-in. We’re here all week with our O'Reilly book Building a Data and AI Platform with PostgreSQL, now reaching 25,000 attendees across GTC. Come get your copy at booth 3414.
Last week, our EDB Amigos & Allies employee resource group brought EDBers together for a conversation about the growing role of Latin professionals in the global tech industry. The panel explored leadership, mentorship, and the cultural strengths that help shape strong teams, from resilience and adaptability to a deep sense of community. It was a thoughtful conversation about how identity, experience, and collaboration continue to shape the future of tech 🚀 Thank you to everyone who joined the discussion and shared their perspective, and a special shout out to the organizers and speakers who helped make the event happen!
