At FE fundinfo we know that our differences make us better together, so with Ramadan ending in early May we took the opportunity to invite colleagues to a lunch and learn about the month of fasting and the Eid al-Fitr celebrations that it culminates in. Some Muslim colleagues were kind enough to take time out of their day to share information about their experiences of Ramadan. They also brought some of their favourite festival snacks for colleagues to try, including; pakoras, samosas, Moroccan pancakes and Mithai (Pakistani / Indian) sweets. It was a thoroughly engaging session and we’re looking forward to further opportunities to celebrate our diversity!
In the spirit of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re connecting over cake in our London office. Funds raised from the bake sale will go to supporting mental health charity Mind whose mission is to provide support to everyone experiencing difficulties with mental health.
Sometimes a great way to support your own mental wellbeing is by helping others. That has been true for our teams, who have been participating in FE fundinfo Community Days, where we dedicate our skills and time for a day. These have included: gardening at a domestic abuse refuge, teaching tech to seniors, painting school classrooms and looking after nearby areas of natural beauty. This Mental Health Awareness Week, why not take the time to check in with friends, family members and colleagues. It’s not always easy to tell when someone is struggling and a short conversation can go a long way.
As part of our #CommunityDay initiative which encourages all employees to dedicate their skills and a working day to a valuable cause, we were delighted to lend a helping hand to Barnsbury primary school in Woking. Here’s a message from the Premises manager at Barnsbury Primary School. "Your enthusiasm was infectious, and without exception the team were chatty , personable and very hard working. The day went extraordinarily well and far exceeded the amount of work we had planned.” We hope all of Barnsbury’s teachers and pupils enjoy the new look!
Today, we're delighted to announce the acquisition of Funds360, a leading #fund data & solutions provider based in Paris. What a year 2021 was, filled with some incredible achievements across the FE fundinfo community! Last year, we travelled more than 135,000 miles for our #CharityMiles partnership and, whether running, walking, or cycling, we were proud to support #health and #wellbeing and raise money for charity. Building on these foundations, we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead and enhancing our CSR agenda even further throughout 2022, where will be teaming up with a number of local charities to help the communities in which we work and support the vital work of the charities we’ve partnered with
"I am proud that FE fundinfo are part of the Race at Work Charter. I look forward to connecting with like-minded organisations, to learn from each other and combine our impact". -- Kate Scarles, Chief People Officer at FE fundinfo. We are pleased to announce we are now a signatory of the Business in the Community Race at Work Charter. Ethnic minorities still face significant disparities in employment and progression, and that is something we need to change. The Charter is composed of seven calls to action for leaders and organisations across all sectors. Signing the Charter means taking practical steps to ensure workplaces are tackling barriers that Black, Asian, Mixed Raced and other ethnically diverse people face in recruitment and progression and that their organisations are representative of British society today.
As we move into 2022, we thought we would take a brief look back at some of our highlights of the past year. This includes adding a number of fantastic businesses to the FE fundinfo group, including CSSP, CashCalc, FundConnect and Zenith Investment Partners, who have all brought new and unique expertise to our organisation. Additionally, with physical events happening once again, we were delighted to attend ALFI Frankfurt, Fund Forum International and of course, host our very own Adviser Roadshow! Some of our other highlights include reaching ten-thousand LinkedIn followers and FE Investments reaching £5Bn AUM, as well as winning awards for our products and services, which are designed to help all those in the global funds industry. Thank you to all our clients and customers for making 2021 such a memorable year!
