It's not long now until Christian Mathiesen, Executive Recruiting Partner at Kantar, sets off on the challenge of a lifetime on 21st June. Christian is taking advantage of his two paid days a year to volunteer and, with a friend, will be attempting to cycle 260 miles unsupported on the Summer Solstice. Their challenge supports Christian's mum, who has bravely fought Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) for over a decade. A life-changing, complex, chronic and often misunderstood medical condition, ME is a serious long-term illness and disability with symptoms varying from person to person. Starting their journey at sunrise in Darlington, County Durham, and aiming to beat the setting sun back to their hometown of St Albans, Hertfordshire, we wish you the best of luck in your volunteering challenge, Christian! #WeAreKantar #LifeAtKantar

Ramadan Mubarak! This Saturday marked the start of Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and a holy month for Muslims who will begin fasting. We recently spoke with Amira, Category Analyst and Co-lead of our new global Employee Resource Group: CREW (Culture, Race and Ethnicity at Work), who revealed what Ramadan means for her this year. She shared, "Ramadan is a time to reflect, breathe, and work on me; physically, mentally, and spiritually. It also feels like a reset button that allows me to realign with everything that makes me feel at peace, and it will enable me to reconnect with God. Also, Ramadan is a time to appreciate all that we have, and if possible, we should provide help and support to those less fortunate."
At Kantar, we offer our people two days of volunteering leave every year, which provides many with opportunities to help an #extrordinarycase they feel passionate about within their local community. As well as volunteering, some of our local teams also offer regular help and support to local Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO). This month, over 20 colleagues at Kantar Spain signed up to support a local NGO by sorting, labelling, packaging, and distributing food across different locations around the cities over four days. #WeAreKantar #LifeAtKantar
Today marks the start of the Hindu festival #Holi, also known as the festival of Love, Spring and Colour. Celebrated across South Asia, festivities have already begun here at Kantar. Many of our colleagues have commemorated the occasion by expressing their love by throwing Gulal (a traditional coloured powder), and hosting celebration events in their local offices. As Holi festivities continue over the weekend, we wish you a very happy Holi. #Holi #WeAreKantar #LifeAtKantar
Over the last few weeks, our employees have been sharing their experiences on the importance of being able to talk about #MentalHealth at work. Find out more about mental health at Kantar at the link in our bio. #WMHD #WeAreKantar #LifeAtKantar
