Next step in our growth story: Jinwan officially opened! We celebrated the official opening of MTU Maintenance Zhuhai Jinwan branch today. This additional site is a branch of MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, a joint venture between MTU Aero Engines and China Southern Airlines. It will focus on PW1100G-JM engines and have a yearly capacity of 260 engine shop visits annually once ramped up. Combined with its main site, MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, which lies just 20 kilometers away, it aims to be the largest maintenance repair and overhaul facility in the world, with a capacity of over 700 shop visits. The Asian region expects to see significant growth in both the aviation and MRO sectors in the coming years and with both sites of MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, we are now best-placed to serve this market demand. Thanks to our amazing teams all over the world for their support and collaboration as well as our colleagues' flexibility in China during construction. We are super excited for this capacity increase and can't wait to continue supporting our customers as the global fleet grows! #WeAreEngineExperts #NewBranch

The order, which is for the second phase of the Halcón procurement project, will en-sure capacity utilization at MTU from 2027 and in the years that follow. Deliveries of the first engines to the aircraft final assembly lines are scheduled for 2029. Together with other announced orders from Italy and Germany, this will keep MTU busy well into the 2030s. #EJ200 #WeAreEngineExperts #Eurofighter

Happy Birthday, #AeroPride! 🎉 Last week, we celebrated the first birthday of our LGBTQ+ network at MTU, so let’s take the chance to look back on the results of a year's work. What has been achieved? - 92 members at 5 MTU locations - Drafting and finalization of a constitution - Election of a core team and start of work in individual committees - Organization of an "Ask-me-anything" event - First participation in the Munich Pride Rally - And brand new: Creation of a safe space. Several trained confidants for the LGBTQ+ community are now available for confidential discussions. What's next? One focus in the second year will be the establishment of the safe space. In addition, topics related to queer family planning, internal training and leadership guidelines related to diversity, equal opportunities and belonging will be promoted. Our #AeroPride Network is dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community at MTU and together, we're shaping a future where every MTU employee feels safe and welcome. Keep up the good work! #WeAreEngineExperts #Diversity #OneMTU

Take a virtual tour of the MTU Museum – and embark on a journey through time: https://www.mtu.de/about-us/mtu-museum/ 🛫 Our museum in Munich boasts one of the world's finest collections of aero-engine exhibits. Spanning almost 850 square meters, it displays over 50 items that provide an overview of the history of powered flight. From the early days of aviation to jet-setting breakthroughs, see how we transformed the 'impossible' into 'the sky's the limit'! A star of the exhibition, the enormous GP7000 engine that powers the Airbus A380 is prominently displayed at the museum's entrance. And now: Enjoy the tour! The museum will open to external visitors again on November 10. Aviation enthusiasts can then visit our unique collection of engines from 1 to 4 pm. #MTUMuseum #WeAreEngineExperts
P2P Challenge ‘24: Great team spirit at the 5th edition 🚴 P2P stands for "Plant to Plant" and is based on the idea of cycling from one MTU location to another. This time, 60 MTU colleagues cycled from MTU Maintenance Hannover to MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg via the Harz Mountains and the Thuringian Forest, with stops in Braunlage, Ilmenau and Leipzig. The daily stages ranged from 145 to 185 km, with a total of 691 kilometers and 5500 meters of altitude. What a great achievement! Although the temperatures were very challenging, all participants completed the challenge safely and were welcomed back to Ludwigsfelde after four eventful days. Of course, none of this would be possible without dedicated helpers. So we'd like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you. #P2Pchallenge #WeAreEngineExperts #Cycling #BikeTour #TeamSpirit
