We’re more than the data center next door. We’re neighbors, volunteers and partners who are committed to uplifting our communities through service, meaningful impact and support of organizations that make a difference.
QTS is committed to the places it calls home – and to strengthening local economies, advancing sustainability, protecting residents’ energy rates and responsibly delivering the infrastructure that enables modern digital life.
Today, we announced our Commitment to Communities, reaffirming our long-established focus on putting communities first. For more than 20 years, we have set a standard with our core values – building the right way, serving communities and making a meaningful difference. We will continue to hold ourselves to the highest standard through our commitment to: ✅ Pay for the energy costs of our data centers so they do not increase local utility bills. ✅ Build data centers that consume no water. ✅ Create good jobs in communities in which we operate. ✅ Support local community projects that matter to you. ✅ Lead with openness and transparency.
We are honored to have received the Sustainable Champion Award at the 2026 Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Data Center Awards this week. Our commitment to sustainability aims to enhance lives while minimizing environmental impact, reducing our carbon footprint and promoting clean energy.
Our role goes far beyond building and operating the world’s most advanced data centers. It means staying true to our core values and uplifting the communities in which we live, work and operate.
