On December 7th, Halo Space, a global space tourism company, successfully completed the first test flight of its dummy capsule. The flight lasted 4 hours, and the unmanned prototype reached 37 kilometers up in the stratosphere and landed back on the ground with great precision and safety. CT took part in the test flight, as one of the project partners. The company is responsible for the engineering, design, and stress tasks, as well as for the communication and FTI and the electrical system of the capsule. Moreover, it is leading the integration of Aciturri and GMV. The capsule was launched from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Hyderabad (India). The capsule reached the desired altitude, lifted by a hydrogen-powered balloon, which weighed 773 kilograms, reached a maximum diameter between 110 and 130 meters (the length of a soccer field), and was made of very thin polycarbonate. To return to Earth, the system deployed a special parachute at high altitude which ensured an accurate, smooth landing at a set location. Moreover, the test confirmed that the parachute could be deployed at any moment and initiate descent at any altitude. All in all, the navigation and safety operations test were a remarkable success. Various cameras and measuring devices aboard captured images and data to verify pre-studies and operational feasibility. This is an important milestone for CT and for zero-emission space tourism.

CT embraces environmental transparency by disclosing through CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. Additionally, CT’s near and long-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), as part of its broader commitment to reach net-zero greenhouse emissions by 2050. As part of its commitment to deliver a net-zero economy by 2050, CT submitted various near and long-term targets on greenhouse gas emission reduction for review, which have been validated by SBTi, a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science.

CT and Aechelon Technology announce MOU for Spanish and European Markets. Under the MOU, CT is named by Aechelon as its first choice for product sales and integration services for the Spanish government, and Aechelon’s products are reciprocally CT’s first choice when applicable to customer requirements. Furthermore, both partners agreed on a mutual non-exclusive priority consideration of their products and services in the European and other foreign markets. CT and Aechelon enjoyed a pre-existing, strong engineering relationship, which resulted in pre-integrated Mixed Reality & ISR(*) products with global geo-spatial databases and engineering support, which reduce risk, cost, and schedule while increasing operational capabilities on advanced prime contractor projects. CT is a European-based integration and services company, developing distributed simulation and training technologies to enable pilots and aircraft technicians to add professionalism and safety to their real missions.

The Agile Space Access Development Project #1 – PADA1, is a consortium led by HyPrSpace as the pilot, in collaboration with CT Ingénierie and Telespazio France. This project aims to complete the detailed design of its OB-1 rocket and to carry out the first flight of Baguette One, its suborbital demonstration rocket showcasing the innovative hybrid propulsion technology developed by HyPrSpace. In the continuity of the first part of the micro-launcher call for tenders of France2030 won in 2022, HyPrSpace is developing its innovative hybrid propulsion technology in order to power the orbital and sub-orbital vehicle, with the launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. This disruptive innovation in the field of space propulsion allows for less expensive access to space, and is more environmentally friendly. CT will bring to the consortium its expertise in launcher system design and optimization; for 35 years, CT has been accumulating multi-physics expertise in proprietary models and software, integrated into digital platforms for techno-economic system evaluation. CT will employ these skills and tools, as well as its expertise in mission analysis and trajectory plotting, for system engineering and the design of theOB-1 and Baguette One launchers within the tight timelines induced by the evolving market for space access.
