I had an initial conversation with a data science leader, then completed a data science questionnaire. The questions were thought-provoking, and clearly intended to test clarity of thought and experience with machine learning than assess memory of algorithms. Next, I had a pairing with the head of data science. This was a straightforward exercise that again seemed to focus more on comfort with building models, manipulating data in python, and interpreting/communicating results. Finally, I spoke to another current data scientist, followed by the CEO. The conversations were compelling and each seemed to probe me as a professional and as a human being.

First interview with hiring manager, followed by take home challenge including programming and ML questions, followed by a technical follow up interview discussing the take home challenge and additional coding questions, followed by second technical interview with a senior data scientist. Everyone was very friendly and professional, and the whole experience was positive.
