I was recently invited to an interview and from the very beginning, the call lacked structure, it started abruptly with a “Hello, tell me about yourself,” without any introduction to the company, the team, or the selection process.
Throughout the interview, I sensed a lack of engagement from the interviewer. There was no explanation of the role, its responsibilities, or even basic context about the company’s culture or values. This gave me the impression that the person was not genuinely interested in conducting the interview.
At the end, I was told I would receive feedback within the following week. After sending two follow up emails, I have yet to hear back (more than a month later) not even a rejection or an acknowledgment of my messages. Unfortunately, this experience was highly negative and unprofessional, particularly due to the lack of transparency and respect for candidates’ time and effort.
