Initially from submitting my CV to contact from amazon recruiter was a very slow process and took around 3-4 weeks. Once the process was started then took around 2-3 weeks. Initially had a telephone interview with the recruiter which lasted around 30 minutes. The recruiter went through your experience and asked around motivation for joining amazon. They also go through your key achievements of your role. (NOTE: good to have tangible numbers for this). I was told at the end of the phone interview with the recruiter that I would be proceeding to the second stage. This was a phone interview with the hiring manager and this was for around 45 minutes and its more of them telling you about the role and again going through your CV and the key achievements in your role. After the phone interview with the hiring manager the recruiter updated me around 1 hour later to say tI had been successful and I would be proceeding to the pane interview. There was about 7 days between my phone interview and my panel interview. The next stage is a panel interview (and all management have to go through a 4 panel interview). This 4 panel interview consisted of 4 x 45 minute interviews with different managers across the business some will be over the phone and some will be in person. They ask you the questions around all the key leadership competencies that can be found on the amazon website. Each interviewer will have different leadership competencies to assess you on and you need to bring it to life using the STAR method in your answer. They also give you time to ask questions at the end. After this the panel meet together and discuss whether you are a fit for amazon. I got call from the amazon the day after my panel inrerview offering me the role. Some key things that I liked about the interview. Amazon are really keen on numbers so its good to brush up on your KPI's you have impacted in your previous role for the interview process. They also want to know you are human and they asked a lot of questions around things that haven't gone well or you have not been successful at and how you coped and learned from that. The overall experience was great and nothing like I originally expected. Everybody I met were very friendly and approachable, and made me feel at ease. Also what I thought was great was how fast the process was after each stage of the interview I was updated with the outcome within 24 hours which is great as it doesn't keep you waiting around. The recruitment process is very efficient, and a lot of other companies can take a leaf out of amazon's book on how to deal with a candidate efficiently and quickly

The interview process is extensive met with recruiter then hiring manager then came the pod. 3 additional interviewers all different set of questions needed to be in star format very extensive.
