I was a college hire so the interview process is different compared to internal/external hires for the AM position. There were 3 steps involved: an assessment and two face-to-face interviews. The assessment is your general behavioral test where Amazon evaluates if you can engage people and handle stressful scenarios. The assessment also tests basic math skills. The assessment was done online and took ~45 mins. The two face-to-face interviews were with people in operations, another AM and an Ops. This was done onsite at an Amazon corporate location, or at a rented office space they temporarily occupy. At the very end of the process they ask you a case exercise. It is different for everyone, and the difficulty might vary. My case asked me to procedural state how I would handle an employee issue, tagged with a co-worker issue. They want to see how you break it down, what you're thinking process is, and if you partner with anyone. A key note here. Amazon is looking for leadership traits, especially those highlighted in its Principles. They aren't looking for the friendliest person, the best talker, or the most data-centric thinker. Know the Amazon Leadership Principles, and how you can highlight them in your answers throughout the face-to-face interviews.

Multiple online tests after application, followed by a virtual interview with various staff. Staff did not want to be on camera and did not have many good things to say about working there.
