I initially applied online through Amazon Jobs page and received a reply to complete the Online Assessments in March. I completed 3 rounds of OAs over a span of 2 weeks and received the invitation to the Final Interview which I had it scheduled for May. The final virtual on-site interview consisted of 3 sessions, each being 45 minutes long. For each session, around 10-15 minutes are spent first with behavioural type questions on variuos Leadership Principles, and the rest are spent for Data Structure and Algorithms type questions. The DS&A questions were usually started off with a very simple question, and when I got it correctly, they built up from the question with additional constraints/performance improvements. It took them 5 business days to get back to me with the result.

Surprisingly easy — I expected tougher questions, but the coding round felt more like a warm-up. The main challenge was a DSA problem about counting islands in a 2D grid, which led to a discussion on DFS versus BFS and handling large grids. Funny enough, I had revisited that exact type of question while prepping on PracHub, which made me feel more confident. The interview wrapped up with a behavioral round, and I accepted an offer, but ultimately decided to decline it for another opportunity. Overall, it was a smooth experience.
