- Applied for AWS Solutions Architect on via Amazon careers page.
- Received email asking to do online tech and behavioral assessments.
- Then, I received email saying I passed the online tests and will arrange next round of interview within June but it never happen on June.
- Waited >1 month and received an email asking for availability for the 1st round interview.
- Nobody walk me through the interview process however in the email I was asked to prep for STAR format. Therefore, I was expecting a non-tech interview.
- On interview day only I know it is a tech interview where they asked me tech questions to gauge my skills breathe and depth. Unfortunately, I come from software development and unable to answer simple questions on infra, network and storage. I wasn't prep for a tech interview because email ask to prep for STAR format and no mention of tech interview at all.
- This whole process is below expectation for such a big corporation like Amazon

Beginner level questions on infra, network, storage, security, application development. Questions will go deeper if you're well-versed in an area. Totally no behavioral questions unlike indicated in the interview scheduling email.

You do 4 back to back interview in 1 day. It was exhausting. Besides that really appreciated the recruiter giving out interview prep before it takes place. The good thing is there is no coding round.
The interview process was very challenging and thorough. The questions required deep technical knowledge and problem-solving under pressure. While tough, it was fair and tested real-world skills, communication, and adaptability.
