The interview process was unnecessarily prolonged (6+ stages), only for the role to be withdrawn midway through without a clear rationale. Shortly thereafter, similar roles were re-advertised, yet there was minimal follow-up or engagement from the recruiter.
Overall, the process felt poorly coordinated and lacking in accountability. For a company of Amazon Web Services’ scale and reputation, the level of disorganisation and indecision was surprising. Candidates are expected to invest significant time and preparation across multiple rounds, and this experience reflected a disregard for that commitment.
A more disciplined, transparent, and candidate-conscious hiring process would significantly improve the experience and better reflect the standards the organisation is known for.
