Was contacted and given a brief overview of the company. The next day was a phone screening and a zoom interview soon after. The recruiter claimed that this position required no experience as the person would be trained. Paid training! During the zoom interview many situational questions were asked. I had told them on multiple occasions I had never been in a sales position but I was more than willing to learn. Seemed like they completely gave up on me after that. When I asked questions about mentoring and making sure their employees got the best advice if they needed any help I was told they do the very best they can before even thinking of termination. It a quick process but if you don’t have any experience in sales.. Like selling things people do not want! You are out of luck. Or better yet just try to sell yourself better than I did. :) Just a note: I did not personally look for this job opportunity. They reached out to me and I wanted to keep my options open and try out for the position. Granted I didn’t get the job but at least I know that over the phone sales job just isn’t for me. Initial interview that seemed to mostly just ask confirming questions that were restatements of the job posting. It seemed like a screening call meant to just weed out people who had no idea what the job was and no tough questions.
