The process was disappointing. I had the recruiting phone call and had to reach back out to them the following weekend for follow up. I was passed to the Hiring Manager, who, in all of this, was the only positive experience. From there I was tasked with a take home test/case study. Lastly I had a 4+ hour day meeting with multiple people in the department, followed by a skills assessment.
I received a "verbal offer" the day after. I hesitate to use the word offer because it was more of a false commitment. I was told I would receive my physical offer by end of week. The next week, I was told it would be delayed another 1-2 weeks. After that, I was told it would be delayed a few more weeks and to "hang in there." One of the last times I had correspondence with the hiring manager, I was told it would be another month until the offer got approval.
After the month was up, there was still no offer and I had to end the relationship. They didn't even bother to reply back.
Advice for anyone applying: ask the right questions, ask hard questions, and don't wait around when you know something is off.

I was contacted by the recruiter for an initial screening call, and honestly had the most terrible experience I've ever had with a recruiter. The recruiter was dry, disengaged, and very cold to keep things short. She had no interest in conversing and was very short with me. Her responses to attempt to show connection or "interest" in the answers I was providing to her were less than mediocre. It was as if I was speaking with a robot. I could have a better conversation with a robot to be honest. 1 minute in, I already wanted out. Screening calls in my experience are also usually very basic in the types of questions recruiters may ask. I was completely caught off guard with this recruiter began asking me full blown interview questions (please see below) that had 0 correlation with what the role requirements were. I'm happy to answer any such questions throughout the interview process, but never have I ever had to deal with such specific questions within a screening call. It was just a terrible experience and even if I had been moved forward, this initial experience really put me off wanting to move forward in the interview process. If this is the type of individual they have on the "front lines" it really does speak volumes to me about where their priorities may lie.

Mind you, these were questions asked in the basic *screening call* which had no correlation with the written role expectations provided to me prior to applying: - Tell me about a time when you had to gather data and how you used that to improve the work space. - Tell me more about the type of software you use for analyzing and pulling data? - What are your Salary Expectations? - Other basic HR questions

Working with the Handy team was a dream - Madisen, the recruiter, was professional, quick, and took the time to explain each step of the process. Tara was also very transparent about the role and took the time to get to know me outside of just my professional experience. I really appreciated how they set up the interview process and the team was extremely welcoming. Ultimately, I accepted an offer that was a better fit lifestyle wise, but would recommend this company to anyone.
