This month, I interviewed at AppTweak for the Frontend Developer position at their Brussels office. The entire process was very simple, clear, and just as described on their website.
The process started with a recruiter interview, which was a standard screening call—nothing out of the ordinary.
Next came the interview with the hiring manager. It was a mix of behavioral and light technical questions, more of a discussion than a test, which I really appreciated.
After that, I received a technical task to validate my frontend skills, with 10 days to complete it. The task was very aligned with what I would be doing on the job, and I genuinely enjoyed working on it.
Upon successful completion, I was invited to a team interview to present my project to the development team. However, just a few days before the final interview, I was promoted at my current job, which led me to cancel the last step of the process.
From what I understood, the final interview would have been an hour-long session, mostly a general discussion about the project, followed by an offer if all went well.
I absolutely loved the interview process—it was straight to the point, with no unnecessary or random questions.
A special shout-out to both the recruiter and the engineering manager. While I’m not sure if I can share their names, I want to highlight how professional and kind they were. The recruiter took the time to carefully read my CV, confirmed my ability to work in Brussels despite having a non-local phone number, and made the effort to schedule everything smoothly. That level of attention is rare and greatly appreciated.
The engineering manager was also fantastic—he clearly explained the role, the team’s day-to-day, and the company’s goals. He was always responsive and open to questions, and you could tell he really believes in the company’s mission.
Overall, AppTweak seems like an amazing company with a strong startup vibe, a great team, and a very human approach to hiring. I’m very grateful I got to meet them, and I highly encourage others to apply—you’ll likely love the experience too.
