I had a short phone conversation with one of their recruitment people. We discussed my career and some of my recent UX projects. I was told two weeks later that they were not progressing because the interviewer "gathered from our conversation that my experience was all in advertising and marketing" The only mention of advertising was to state that I began my career there 25 years ago. There is not a single role on my CV or project in my portfolio related to marketing or advertising. It is all UX. It seems like the individual I spoke with has some listening issues and must never have even looked at my CV or portfolio. Either that or he mistook me for someone else.
