Disappointing candidate experience. Recruiter reached out to schedule a screening call, but during the conversation, their camera was off, they seemed distracted, and frequently interrupted. I understand people have different life situations to deal with however in this instance it probably would have been best to reschedule for a more suitable time. Despite this, they assured me I was a good fit and would move forward to meet the hiring manager. After multiple follow-ups, I was told they were just waiting to schedule the next round. Then, after a subsequent follow up I received an automated rejection without any explanation or follow up. Again I understand that different situations can happen when hiring however the lack of communication or follow up showed a lack of care re candidate experience.
