First, I had to clear the hackerrank online test, which had around 3 SQL and python questions. One problem-solving question and one question for making a dashboard.
First interview at Bolt for Senior Data Analyst position.
-Interviewer introduced himself and the job.
-Asked for my introduction.
-Asked to explain one data analysis
project from start to end.
-the difference between where and having in SQL.
-Primary Key?
-How to deal with null values in a column?
- commerical team asked to make dashboard for key kpis. write squence of steps on how to make it.
- The conversion rate in Bolt food app dropped by 10% in the last 2 days. asked to identify reasons behind the change, describe the metrics and what are the steps. And then cross-questioning on it.
- 30% increase in gross sales in Bolt Food app. why management is unhappy after this
- bolt is expanding in a new city. how would u determine the area of operation and prices
They really want to check your problem-solving skills.

Take home assignment was long. Takes around 4-5 days to complete.
I had one technical round.
If you're considering the take-home task, I'd suggest only doing it if you enjoy these kinds of challenges for fun. If you're currently working and time is limited, it might be more efficient to direct team to your existing projects or request a HackerRank test instead. Personally, I felt that the task was more time-consuming than necessary, and it might be more beneficial to apply for roles like Uber L5A, where the process is more streamlined and aligned with assessing relevant skills.
