I interviewed with the Director about a week before WMC. I then came in during WMC as a "consultant" to review what worked and what didn't work from my perspective as an outsider, which is really smart because once you work there, you're blinded. Then I was brought on full time. Not a whole lot of training after that point. Just watch and learn as you go.
