Move beyond surface-level small talk by asking thoughtful questions that demonstrate you're genuinely interested in understanding their situation. Listen actively to their responses and ask follow-up questions that show you're processing what they've shared. Focus on open-ended questions that encourage them to elaborate on their challenges, goals, and priorities.
At least for the interview I had, it was short, concise, and conversational. I was nervous at first but felt relieved further into the interview. Be prepared to really showcase yourself and what you can bring to the table.
