Colloquio
Coderpad pairing assessment. Unfortunately interviewer and I experienced some communication inefficiencies (English was clearly not their first language) which lead to difficulty in completing the assessment quickly as it took exorbitant amounts of time for them to explain what they wanted/respond to clarification questions.

Recruiter reached out on linkedin. I had a chat with the recruiter that was friendly then an online assessment. Online assessment was to calculate dasher payout with hackerrank, exercise was easier than expected but I didn't make it to the next round (personally didn't prepare well). I asked about whether i'd be able to use fastAPI (as they talk about API design) & never heard back. You get prep material but I feel like it overcomplicated what you'd actually be doing in the assessment so it felt slightly misleading. The interviewer was alright & didn't expect me to know perfect syntax. Could've been a bit more helpful with the hints though, I'm not seeking handouts but typically with live interviews when you get stuck/go off course you get a hint/guidance as they assess collaboration too. The guide mentions something around this too but at some point the interviewer went silent for a long time as I was expressing my thoughts. At least I got the outcome so I can move forward. I would urge for better communication from the interviewer side.
