Got a take home project after chat with the HR.
After I submitted their project which took a whole weekend, I got a reject saying that the engineers couldn't get my project started.
I was quite surprised as there were only three steps in installing and running the project and I had tested it and given detailed instructions. After I wrote back to them asking what went wrong they replied by saying they tried again and were able to run the project. But they still passed on me citing very minor issues with the code. Honestly, it seemed to me that they were just looking for things to dismiss me on. I wish I had read the reviews on glassdoor before applying here.
Walking into the coding interview, I was taken aback when they asked about finding the K nearest restaurants based on coordinates. Just days before, I had stumbled on a mock on prachub.com that mirrored this question almost exactly. The interview felt straightforward, but I struggled with some behavioral questions. Overall, the experience was underwhelming; I expected more technical depth. After several rounds, they decided to go in another direction, which was disappointing given my prep efforts.
