First a phone screen with a recruiter, with some basic technical questions, then a pretty easy technical phone screen, followed by three on-site rounds - coding (similar to phone screen), OOP design and behavioral. I had a very good experience with them up until interview feedback time. The on-site day ended with a reception at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, after which my recruiter told me that I did a "stellar job" and that "everyone loved me and they already had a team in mind for me", implying strongly that I had the job, just to let me know a few days later that "there were some issues with my interview performance" and that they want me to interview for a different position (data engineer) that I didn't apply for and am not interested in. I initially accepted the interview due to the initial shock during this phone call, but cancelled it a few days later. Also, all of this happened after we (all of the new grad candidates) were told the decisions had already been made on who was getting hired, so the recruiter knew that I didn't have the job when he said this to me. I had a great time during Super Saturday, all of the events were a lot of fun, the engineers were very nice and easy to talk to and overall DraftKings sounds like a great place to work. I almost feel bad writing a bad review because everyone else I interacted with there was very pleasant and professional. However, unfortunately, I will not be recommending DraftKings to anyone at my school due to this extremely unprofessional recruiting behavior.
