I have been contacted from a recruiter from some other resources company through LinkedIn who called and redirected me to DraftKings. There was a online hacker rank coding challenge which we have to complete the add, remove and three other methods for the employee hierarchy question based on a scenarios. It’s pretty simple if you work on any object oriented language on a daily basis. Completed the coding challenge 30 mins before the time with all the test cases passed. Two days later I have got the email to schedule for the on site interview. On Site Interview- There are four rounds- 1) oops design- design question. 2) Coding question 3) Technical deep dive 4) Manager Interview All the four interviews went extremely well. I haven’t seen any reason why they have rejected me. Result - Recruiter contacted me almost 5 days after the interview and said it was one of the closest calls they have ever taken in the company. And Currently they are going forward with the local person who is in Boston. ☹️☹️☹️ (I was like, Who takes the decision based on the relocation expenses). I have asked are there any thing with the technical aspect- they’ll just randomly create some factors which I felt was very fake just to reject a candidate. As everyone said in all the previous reviews, they will just create random excuses and say random reasons if they already had the resource for the particular team. Suggestion for all the candidates- Recruiters at the start will be very sweet and speak about all the things and their culture . Once the process is done, they won’t even tell the feedback properly (or) even responds the emails properly. Please try to avoid the process if you get the call, I felt this is just time waste process, since they don’t know what they need and are totally confused with the process. Interviewers don’t know what they are asking, they just randomly ask questions and expects the answers which they have Memorized/Written. Unless you answer the same way as they expected like a school kid, they won’t be considering you. Suggestion to recruiters- Please tell the reality to the candidates how the interviews goes and what would they expect. Candidates will be spending lot of time to travel for an interview taking off from work/school. Try to avoid the interview process if you already have something lined up with other companies. It’s totally totally totally totally not worth it.
