It was straightforward, for most of the externships they will ask for a pre-recorded interview (hirevue style) but the questions aren't difficult and usually what you would expect them to ask anyway.

Only took a recorded hirevue where they asked me about myself (elevator pitch) and then why do I want to participate in the externship.

All of it was done online via video recording that can be re-recorded. Nice for beginners and for people who are nervous during online interviews. The interview processing took quite long til students get a response.
