I had a great interview with the recruiter and was told I would be moving forward to an interview with the CRO. From there, it was incredibly challenging to schedule that interview. The CRO was traveling and wasn't able to share her availability. It took a week to schedule the interview and once it was scheduled, it was scheduled for a week out (2 weeks after the initial interview with the recruiter). The morning of the interview, after I had already spent time preparing, the recruiter called me and let me know that another candidate had already accepted the role. I appreciated the call, but it was obviously very disappointing, especially since it took them two weeks to schedule the interview. It feels like I was strung along and not given a fair chance at the role. I believe the way a company treats candidates during the hiring process reveals a great deal about the company's overall culture, and this was not a positive candidate experience.
