I applied online and the process took over +2 months. Very slow hiring process. Very frustrating. A email was sent to me with the assignment description. It was a simple back-end test. It didn't take much time to finish and I have to send a multiple follow-up email and wait over 2months to get the rejection email.

An email was sent to me to do a take home challenge. It was a simple front end test, but something that takes about 2 hours. Sent it back and I was given another challenge, this time dealing with back end. This would also take about 2 hours (or longer if you do the highly recommended extras). Unfortunately I was told that my code was not up to their standards at Fooji (I did not do the extras due to time). Fair enough. But I recommend they be more explicit with their requirements in their job posting, so they don't use up 4+ hours of someone's time, and not even have an interview. I suppose these challenges would be much more geared towards someone looking for a job while they aren't working full time, but still. They could have taken 10 minutes look at my open source projects to see if I was up to par, before using up so much of my time.
