I applied online, was contacted by the recruiter later the same day via email, and was asked to select a time slot for a phone interview with her. During the phone interview the recruiter realised that I have over 5 years of full time working experience, since I went to university full-time, maintained a good GPA, worked full-time and slept and had a social life on a part-time basis. She said she thought that my work experience was part-time. The recruiter told me that the position was for a fresh graduate or a person with up to two years of working experience and that she would check with her colleagues can they consider me. She emailed me a few minutes later letting me know that they can't consider me. I am a bit disappointed now for a few reasons, I feel like I'm being punished for working hard, because I studied and worked full time in parallel. Secondly Google portrays themselves as a company that employs people from different backgrounds, with different life stories, etc. but it turns out they are looking for a very specific, cookie cutter type of person.

5 interviews over the course of a few weeks, last interview was with the director of the org. This was in 2016, so they were asking questions that weren't as pertinent to the role at that time.
