Applied online. A week later, sent me a test to check for understanding of SQL and other business processes. Graded my test, invited me to fly into the bay area for an interview. Heard from the hiring manager a week later telling me I was ineligible: too young to be experienced, too old to be a new hire.

The interview process was straightforward and professional. It began with a recruiter screening focused on my background, interest in the Business Analyst role, and general fit. The conversation then moved into my analytical experience, communication style, and how I approach ambiguous business problems.

Interview process is dumb. Honestly not worth the hype. Was done over the phone and the interviewer wasn’t even that friendly. I’m sure it’s a great fit for some people but I need something with more of a focused vision.
