They aren't kidding when they say the interview process is aggressive and rigorous. I interviewed for an Account strategist position at google and here is the breakdown of how it went: Step 1: Recruiter reached out to me and asked me to apply internally Step 2: Screening call, go over the basics background etc *Bonus: we had a interview prep call about key tips and things to review Step 3: You get about 10 days to prep before the big day and since this was in the middle of the pandemic, all things were virtual. You have 4 back to back interviews with members of the team asking you a variety of hypotheticals and questions. Leverage their website HEAVILY, because you need to answer everything in STAR format. *Step 5: They called me back for a final additional interview which was focused primarily on hypotheticals. Based on my call with the recruiter it seemed like I was on the cusp of getting hired but they wanted an additional opinion. Unfortunately, the person I spoke with was really pretentious. She wasn't paying attention was complaining that she was so busy all day and was very clearly on her phone or talking to folks around her. So it did not go well. Overall it was a fine experience, but extremely taxing. For an entry/mid level job, they really ask you anything and everything. Personally, my experience left a bad taste in my mouth and exposed the big G to be nothing but a corporate giant behind the "startup perks." I've been reached out to a couple times for similar positions, but respectfully declined.
