Very systematic and useful. Pre-interview calls were so helpful for preparing yourself. The interviewer was very friendly and keep you comfortable throughout the interview. Such a good experience overall. Thanks for google to arrange this

1)The interview process and questions the first round was an online MCQ test. it had 7 sections that were networks DBMS UNIX web tech data structures and algorithms and troubleshooting. they were based on basic concepts. After 15 days, the shortlisted students were called by hr on google video call for the interview prep session. In that they told 4 rounds of interview will be conducted and what will be focus areas and how to approach the questions. The first round was the coding round in which he asked to write a pseudo code for basic bank withdrawal deposit transactions in bank when statements are given as input like "deposit 100 to ac1". then the interviewer had brought a code and asked me to explain it and find errors and correct then. the code was python but they weren't specific. he asked me what is a tuple in python . can you run a c code compiled on windows bin file on UNIX and java object code and JVM basics. second round was networking questions like TCP UDP protocol DNS and questions like what protocol does youtube use and HTTP etc, Unix questions on file permissions and commands of file permissions, DBMS queries and questions on indexing. 3rd round was web tech in which how do u troubleshoot a website errors, how to u pull down a website if u have terminal access or physical access to hardware and DNS load balancer related questions . 4th round was behavioural questions like what would u do if ur manager imposes a new policy and the client doesn't like it, or what if your friend asks you to decide a location for him for a new cafe, what factors will you consider or what if the style of other team members is different then yours. after these 5-6 people were remaining and the interview feedbacks and your profile is sent to a reviewing committee which is of vice presidents, etc and they give a final unbiased decision on whether to accept the candidate or not. this process takes a month itself. 2) The overall experience the overall wait time in interview was 0. Each candidate was taken to a separate room and the interviewers came to them exactly on time. lunch was provided. the Hr was very frank and motivating and gave me tips on how to respond to questions and be confident. even during the phase when we waited for the results the hr would pick calls and interact and be humble and motivate me positively. overall it was a great experience. a huge shoutout to the hr.
