Applied on line, received an email from HR, received an interview request. Interviewed with the hiring manager right away all in short order. That was impressive. The HR folks advised me to reserve 45 minutes to an hour for the interview. On interview day, the hiring manager was 10 minutes late, claimed to only have about 20 minutes before her next meeting. She talked a lot about the company, and the position. She kept "foot stomping" about cost reduction. She asked me a couple of really easy questions. One was about my children (now adults). Then in the last few minutes she asked if I had any questions. I did. She seemed to get more and more irritated as I asked what I though were relevant questions regarding the staffing req. She talked faster and faster and became irate sounding near the end. Total "red flags" the entire time. One of the more bizarre interviews of my entire work life. The whole thing was really a bit creepy after I slept on it. I decided that I would flat reject any offers that might come from this. On a positive note... the product seems really great. The interview was consistent with the negative commentary about the company as a whole. This is a company to avoid. Just no.

The people who worked here were very nice so I honestly hate to write this but it is really for the benefit of those interviewing. This process was very disorganized, rushed, misleading, and time consuming.
2 people I was interviewing with and the hiring manager changed 1 hour before the interview after I had spoken with a different hiring manager during the initial screening to get to the final rounds. As a result, I would be reporting to a different individual with a different title which left me concerned about the role I was interviewing for. They also seemed surprised I didn't have experience in something I had been told by both the prior hiring manager and coordinator to not worry about at all bc it didnt matter/they really wanted me for X,Y,Z reasons.
Another interview was cancelled 30 minutes beforehand and then I was emailed at 4am the next day asking if I could speak with them at 11am that morning instead. This is insane but I agreed to get the process completed as it was starting to go off the rails.
As their many glassdoor reviews state, they put you through 5+ hours of interviewing, give a ton of positive feedback during each interview, then reject you with no explanation and with a canned email. They shouldn't be pushing applicants through 5+ hours of interviewing and chaos without having them be top contenders. I don't want to write this because the people were truly so nice and it seemed like a great product but I wish I had been aware beforehand so I at least knew what to expect.

Domanda 1
focus on how you will support your team specifically/a lot of Gusto focused jargon. The cross functional interviewer asked how I would set OKRs in the role.

From the beginning it was a red flag. Recruiter reached out to me, had initial call, but was pushed back because the interviewer was busy. Had screening call, interviewer moved me to next round. Was informed it would be a phone call for next round and to confirm my phone number and availability only to be told it would move to a zoom conference with multiple people over a span of 5 hours. I cleared my schedule, confirmed the interview, got the confirmation from the recruiter and the coordinator and what happens? Log into the Zoom meeting the day of my interview to find out the interview was cancelled. No email indicating cancellation, no cancellation on my calendar from the corporate end. Absolutely turned off.
