      It sucks to admire a company and have such a bad interview experience. I am truly disappointed. At no point I felt like the recruiter was invested in the interview process and genuinely cared to get to know me. After I provided my availability for a phone interview, I did not hear from her for the two week period that I had submitted some time for. I then went ahead and updated my availability, and emailed her about it. Later, I got a confirmation email for the interview. This whole time, all I got were automated emails, and no explanation or whatsoever as to what had happened. I honestly feel like if I had not updated my availability, she would've never reached out to me again. The day of the interview came, and it made me feel like she just wanted to get it over with. It was like she was hearing my answers but not listening to my answers, and there were no follow up questions. Overall, very uncomfortable because I could sense the lack of interest. After answering her only three questions, I asked questions about the team driving the effort and the position. At the end, I asked her for feedback because I could sense the hesitation from her end, and she said she would get back to me with that later. A couple days after I got a generic rejection email. As someone who has worked in recruiting before, I suggest recruiters take the actual 30 minutes to get to know the candidate as much as possible, especially when the candidate is clearly engaged in the conversation. Three questions are not enough. I understand that is a busy time for HubSpot, and you have bigger pools of talent than ever before. For that same reason, candidates are taking extra time to prepare, so let's take that into consideration and give them a fair shot.

      Thanks for the feedback and apologies for my delayed follow-up in responding. I appreciate your perspective as someone who used to work in recruiting and can completely agree with you that what you experienced is the exact opposite of the tone we try to set in our interviews. This was tough to read, but gives me some actionable feedback that our whole team of recruiters can learn from when it comes to being engaged, empathetic, and curious during an interview with a candidate. I'm sorry we let you down here and hope you'll consider HubSpot in the future. Best, Becky

      Asked a lot of very specific questions that in the end didn't apply to the role in question. Interviewer wasn't very friendly either and didn't seem interested in understanding my background, just getting answers to their specific questions.

      Standard interview process, began with a recruiter call, hiring manager call and then to a project based task plus a panel. The recruiter was very helpful plus clear and concise about next steps, timing and expectations.

      Horrified by the cold and hostile approach of the HR personnel. No introduction of the company was said at the starting point of the call and throughout! The call started with " Are you ready for the interview?" and followed by " Alright, lets start the interview. Introduce yourself." Talk about basic courtesy 101. HR is still the face of the company! goodness, gracious. Hubspot is all about CRM integration for a cohesive overall customer journey and experience. Your interview process seems to speak otherwise. It was just questions after questions. and NOT a conversation? When asked about career progression and the timeline as I was curious about it, the HR was so hostile and replied " is this a concern for you? " No, i am very concerned about the way HR department at hubspot hires HR executive. oh god. What a blessing in disguise, think I dodge a bullet.
