I was approached on LinkedIn by an internal recruiter and asked was I interested in a sales position. She sent me on more information which I found helpful, and after I sent through my CV she got back in touch to arrange a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty standard. It focused on my sales experience, my goals for the future and what I know about HubSpot. I found the interviewer friendly and the tone of the call was quite casual. When it was over she told me she would review my application with the hiring manager and let me know if I was going to be shortlisted for the 2nd round of interview. 3 days later I got a mail telling me that I had not been moved forward to the next round as they have other candidates with more relevant experience.
