Email from HR asking clarifying questions about my situation and a first stage interview. I thought the interview went well but ING were not organised and due to my status they said they would not take me despite the fact I had informed them of my status twice. It was disappointing as I invested a lot of time into this.

What makes you stand out as a candidate other than your education?
Got an interview invite after 2 weeks of the application date. It was a direct interview with the team you would work with, and the result was given the next day.
I applied the position online. They quickly invited me for the first round, and there was only one round. I successfully pass the interview and got the position. I didn't work for a long time due to my non-student status.

Disconnected, short, to-the-point. It demands a very high level of applicant - one needs internship experience at other companies, the top grades possible, or for their father to be in the company to apply realistically.
