I had the first phone call with a recruiter from the team who reached out to me after I had applied through a referral. The conversation was good, fairly general discussion as are most recruiter calls. There wouldn't be any reason why an interview wouldn't even be set up. Even if that were the case, I expected the company to inform me. The recruiter completely ghosted me after that first conversation. No email replies, no LinkedIn replies. It had to wait 3 weeks from the time of application to that first recruiter call and then nothing. The least I expected was a simple mail telling me they didn't want to move forward.
