Had one phone interview with the team director, then was scheduled to go into the office for in-person interviews. It was rounds and rounds of interviews with four individual who works on the same team and needless to say, it was very exhausting. It took 3-4 hours to complete the entire interview process. It could have easily been 2 rounds of interview with first round being with the team members, and last round with the VP. They all asked very similar questions as well so it didn't seem well coordinated.
Towards the end of one of the interviews, the team director told me that they were currently working on promoting a new brand and asked my opinion on what marketing strategy I would recommend. It threw me off because he gave me the impression that he was basically trying to milk ideas off me and use it for their own branding strategy (also because he was intensively jotting down notes while I was answering his question).
The following day I got an email from the HR person saying that the team would like to move forward with the interview process and she told me to complete a take-home case study. The case study literally had a disclaimer saying "this material becomes the sole property of Internet Brands and we may use it for any purpose and in any form, and that it may be used to assess my candidacy for a position at Internet Brands." I was shocked as to how they can bluntly just kept milking off candidates for free ideas/consultations. I withdrew my application immediately as i was really offended. This company is officially on my blacklist and I would highly advise any one not to apply here.
