I applied online. I had 2 internal references. 2 weeks later got a phone call from a recruiter for a virtual interview with 2 hiring managers. The interview went well and took more than an hour. They discussed about the job responsibilities and asked a few behavioral questions and about my research. A week later I got an email from one of the hiring managers for a virtual panel interview (they call it meet & greet) with the whole team where I had to present my research and received a whole bunch of technical and behavioral questions. Then around 8 weeks later, I received a computer-generated rejection email. During those 8 weeks, I sent some follow-up emails but didn't hear anything.
