      Colloquio per Graduate Safety Engineer

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Jacobs (Aberdeen, Scozia) nel mese di apr 2019

      Colloquio

Passed the first stage screening without any real problems. Just confirming job role, qualifications, location, salary band etc. Second stage was a follow-up telephone interview by someone who sounded as if they were from the HR department and didn't fully understand the role or had read my application. The questions I was being asked were very stop-and-start, and felt like they were being read from a script and under time-pressure. For example, I was asked what experience I had with a very specific type of risk assessment methodology, and then read out loud what sounded like an internal document control code to me and was audibly annoyed when I responded that I had never heard of that codes document before. I was then asked a number of other questions but was interrupted before I had been able to actually answer the questions fully, as if this was an inconvenience and the last thing on her to-do list before going home that day. The final negative point about the interview was that during one answer I had started giving, she loudly sighed down the phone in a manner which I can only assume meant that she was bored of the interview process. After confirming that there were no further questions to ask me, I was told that they'd be in touch to let me know the outcome, but then I heard nothing and got zero feedback about the status of my application. The telephone interview really knocked my confidence, especially as a fresh graduate trying to make a good impression and it has really put me off the company as a whole, which is unfortunate because I had been recommended to consider them.
