The application was easy, plus a questionnaire where they find out what kind of person you are. It's nothing to be afraid of, just answer honestly - it helps them get an idea of what your expectations are and how you prefer to work. I was contacted shortly later and given a phone interview with Carly, the HR specialist. She was very nice, we did some of your standard basic interview questions - "Tell us about a time when..." and what my expected compensation would be. Carly is a great communicator, she kept me informed of the process the entire time. I was brought in later for an on-site interview with Barb the manager for this position, Carly, and the VP of Operations. They were all super friendly and easy to talk to - it was more of a conversation than a firing squad of questions! They got to know me and how I like to work, asked about my desired career path - like I was interviewing not just for this position, but also for future positions I might be interested in! As I used my time to ask my questions, they shared with me that MicroD is a very open company, the CEO's door is always open, and that good work gets noticed. As I'm looking for a company that cares about the employees and the work that I would do there, not just to be another warm body filling a spot, I was very pleased. After the interview I was given another questionnaire about my work history to fill out online at home, and a background check form.
