I talked to the recruiter at the on-campus career fair. I was scheduled for a 45 minute on-campus interview the following week. The interview started with background talks, interests and chit chat for 15 minutes. I was then asked to write a code on paper and discuss my solution. The interviewer gave inputs on the code and suggested possible improvements. I made my code better and more effective twice but the interviewer expected more. By the time I realized how could I do better, there was not enough time to code, so he asked me to explain to him verbally on our way out.
I got an email in next 1-2 weeks inviting me for an on-site interview that will be the final round. After another 3 weeks, I went to Redmond. The interview started at 8 am and comprised of 4 rounds, each of 45 minutes, with a 15 minute break in between. Each round was with a separate interviewer. Everyone asked a bit about resume and projects and then had one question for me to do white board programming.
I had good vibes and was expecting a positive response but I was not expecting the results to be given the very next day. :)

Object Oriented Concepts, Linked Lists, Recursion, Arrays, String. Questions were straight-forward but finding the most efficient solution could get slightly tricky. Make sure to explain your answer as you go and discuss with them instead of thinking of it as a question-answer session.
It started with a 90-minute online assessment, followed by a technical phone screen with one engineer. The OA covered two medium-to-hard algorithm problems. For coding practice, I mainly rely on "LeetCode" to cover different topics. For company-specific interview preparation, I use "Hack2Hire", "LeetCode Discuss", and "1Point3Acres" to find any recent original questions. All of them are helpful platforms. The phone screen included one coding problem and some discussion around edge cases and time complexity.

I was invited to a technical interview with Microsoft. The interviewer started with a general question: “What happens when you type google.com into your browser?” They asked a few follow-up questions related to that.
After that, they gave me a LeetCode algorithmic question, which was at a hard level. The problem was “Integer to English Words.”

Three tech interviews + one hiring manager VO, most of questions are medium to hard leetcode questions. Ask some questions about techniques you written on the resume. But I think they care more about the match of the research and the job.
