Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Multi Media (Arlington, VA) nel mese di nov 2024
Colloquio
1. Call with Recruiter. She was very respectful and nice. I liked the overview of the company and benefits and the challenges that they face. She asked me specifically about some technologies (Django, Django REST Framework, Google Cloud) and I told her that I had never used that tech stack. My experience has been on AWS + Azure and other languages and frameworks. After a pleasant conversation about my experience and how it fits the role, she moved me to the next round.
2. Test Gorilla "Assessment" - I was scheduled to do a proctored Test Gorilla exam (multiple choice) with a person that lists himself as working as a University Researcher and not a company employee. The person clearly wanted nothing to do with the assessment. The assessment was also based on the technologies that I specifically told the recruiter that I had never used. I don't know of any serious company that uses this to "assess" their candidates. None of the actually relevant skills were "assessed." The proctor never set time to talk with me. Left the call ASAP. Seemed like he didn't even want to be doing that.
3. I received an e-mail from the recruiter saying that they would not be moving me forward.
In summary: A waste of time. In my 11 years of experience, I have never had to go through something like this.
