I applied online from India. It had 5 rounds in all. 1. HR Round : Basic questions to understand my motivation to move to Berlin and join N26. 2. Tech Assignment : Spring boot REST problem to be completed with clean code and unit-tests. I was given 4 days to complete this test. 3. Pair coding : Discussion about my assignment, current work project and finally an easy level hacker-rank algorithmic problem. We discussed about its time and space complexity. 4. System Design : Various scenarios about different parts of a fictional bank application and I was asked to come up with solution architecture (DB, Caches, Micro-services...). Even though I could not come up with optimal solutions, the interviewers appreciated my approach. 5. Behavioral : Usual stuff about challenging task completed, disagreement with peer/manager, strength etcetera The whole interview took about 4 weeks and the recruitment partner was quick to share the updates.
