This is a role for compiler frontend. Two rounds of prescreening, then four rounds of back-to-back interviews. All interviews include C++ knowledge, leetcode problems or even puzzles. I guess domain knowledge of compilers and C++ is the most important. Interviewers are friendly and open to discussions.

Many nuance features of C++, such as move semantics, memory safety of closure capturing references, and compiler basics, such as common tradeoffs in optimizations and introducing language features.
