2 leetcode style questions. I had expected more system design type questions, and was genuinely surprised when the second interview was another leetcode style question. The first interviewer was too quick to jump in with suggestions. I was immediately concerned that it would work against me in the end. I've interviewed a lot of Engineers in my career, and I've found that trying to guide the interviewee towards a particular implementation, only confuses them and never ends well. I think I did well considering, but in the end, I was not accepted. The questions were verbose, the time was short and the interviewers were rushing me at the end.

Recruiter interviewed me and wanted me to fill a role that's not my speciality but went ahead with another interview similarly aligned. The interview went fine, the interviewers were helpful. I don't think the sort of questions designed are a good fit for someone of within my speciality so I would think it's better they worked on that. It's a bit hard to fill a role when the individual is not specialized in what they want. I also think their interpretation of their levels is a different. I.e Staff is not Staff in other companies. It's more senior with some extra years of experience solving problems so they have some expectation mismatch from my previous experience.
