The interview process began with HR scheduled an initial call to discuss the candidate's application and to gather additional details about their background, skills, and career aspirations The first technical interview focused on assessing the candidate's expertise in Kotlin and Android development. The interview included live coding exercises to evaluate the candidate's coding skills and problem-solving abilities. The second technical interview delved deeper into more advanced concepts related to the role. It likely included questions and challenges that required a higher level of technical expertise. In this stage, the interview focused on topics related to blockchain technology, data structures, and network-related concepts. This interview aimed to evaluate the candidate's knowledge of specialized topics important for the role. The final round was conducted by HR and had a more non-technical focus. It provided an opportunity for the candidate to learn more about the company, its values, and its culture. Throughout the entire interview process, HR played a crucial role by providing guidance, facilitating communication, and ensuring that candidates had a clear understanding of each stage. Their support contributed to a smooth and efficient interview experience for the candidates.

- Kotlin, project design related, Android core concepts etc.. and live coding related to strings for evaluating problem-solving skills. - Deeper towards memory leaks, and how to identify and resolve the leaks without using external tools, explain the system design, related questions about system design, other questions related to Android, etc.

Applied for Senior Android Developer but got asked kernel and device level question during the 2nd interview with the Hiring Manager. First technical interview was about android app fundamentals + lc based question. Second interview agenda stated that it will be about deep android knowledge. Interviewer did not start by explaining that the interview will be regarding android device infra and I did not expect interviewer to question firmware level questions without prior heads up. Prepared extensively for building and engineering of android app but did not get asked anything about any app related questions.

The interview process at OKX consisted of three rounds.
Round 1 (HR): The discussion was smooth and professional. The HR representative was well-prepared and made the initial screening a positive experience.
Round 2 (Technical): This round involved a sorting challenge and Android-related technical questions. It was structured and assessed relevant skills effectively.
Round 3 (Technical): Unfortunately, this round was less smooth compared to the previous ones. The interviewer seemed unprepared and lacked in-depth knowledge of Android beyond basic concepts. Given my experience, I expected a more technically rigorous discussion.
Overall, the process was mostly smooth, but OKX may want to ensure interviewers are better aligned with the candidate's expertise level to maintain a high standard in evaluations.

I recently interviewed for the Senior Android Developer position at OKX. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
The interview was 1 hour long and split into two sections:
- Coding Round (about 40 minutes)
- Technical Questions (about 20 minutes):
The technical questions were fairly standard for an Android role but became tricky when follow-ups were asked.
While the questions were expected, I struggled due to interview nerves. I found myself getting confused with my answers, especially when the interviewer asked follow-up questions to probe deeper.
Even though I anticipated the interview's outcome, I hoped to receive constructive feedback. Unfortunately, OKX does not provide feedback unless you reapply after six months, which I found slightly disappointing.
Overall, this was a good learning experience. For anyone preparing, I’d recommend practicing common Android concepts like activity lifecycle, ViewModels, and solving coding problems with an emphasis on time and space efficiency, as follow-up questions can dive deep into your thought process.

I was given a problem involving an integer array, and the goal was to transform it in a way that required careful thought about time and space optimization. While discussing my solution, I suggested using a hashmap for optimization (which is wrong to begin with), which led to a follow-up question about how hashmaps work internally and I couldn't answer it.
