The interview began with an explanation of the intended role, the team I would manage, key topics, responsibilities, and related aspects. This part took approximately 10 minutes. After that, we moved on to a technical professional question. It seemed that the interviewer had a predefined sequence of steps he wanted to go through. He was not very flexible, even when my answers provided a solid solution, but arrived “too early” in his expected flow (i.e., I presented a more advanced and comprehensive solution, while he was looking for a simpler and more incremental one). At times, it was difficult to understand what exactly the interviewer was aiming for in some of the questions. In addition, some questions mixed technical, product, and business aspects, and shifted rapidly between these domains. This created some confusion regarding what type of answer was expected from me at each stage.

5-6 calls total including recruiter, hiring manager, skip level and few other folks from parallel departments. All interviews went well one after the other. Recruiter suddenly just stopped replying. I followed up a few times and emailed hiring manager as well but no reply. Didn't expect this from Palo Alto Networks. Have the courtesy to close the loop with the candidate and please respect everyone's time.
