Extremely unprofessional process
I was contacted by a person from their recruitment team. After getting shortlisted, I was asked for a date and time for the face 2 face interviews. I asked them to schedule at 11 AM on a date and they confirmed. I reported by 10.40 AM and was asked to wait in a conference room (along with 8-10 more people). After waiting 2:45 hrs without any communication, I was called for my first round interview. Being already pretty irritated, I decided to waste the interviewer's time as well. The questions were fairly simple, usually what I ask fresh grads when I conduct interviews. Anyway, after taking a lot of time and giving un-optimized answers, I left for the day. I do feel bad for the interviewer as it wasn't his fault but was really angry at the HR team and I lost an entire day for nothing. How can they expect experienced senior professionals to join their company.

Had a technical phone screen, then virtual onsite interviews.
Pretty old way of interviewing, They say they are language agnostic repeatedly during the interview process, at the same time ask you java questions like interface vs abstract class. Had a great time with the interviewers, except one, who was himself not prepared, looks like he just picked up a medium type question from leetcode and was not aware or ready to listen to different ways you can solve the same problem. He kept on interrupting me with his solution. Sometimes interviewers should just listen. Strangely he was the senior most person on the team. Took me a while to explain him my solution. Got an offer next week. Pretty low, not what I was expecting. Looks like the team is not a good fit for me either. This is the advise I got from a current Paypal employee "Unless you are desperate I would advise against joining Paypal".

Pre written questions, two interviewers. Some technical proficiency proof. It was fairly friendly and light hearted and conversational. It seemed like they had decided based on my resume. The people who interviewed me were the managers that I reported directly to once the position started.
